This .300 AAC Blackout AR-15 hog hunting build is designed for reliability, durability, and close-to-mid range performance in demanding environments. Built around a premium cold hammer forged barrel and proven duty-grade components, this rifle balances rugged field use with precision shooting.
At the core is a Noveske 16" cold hammer forged .300 Blackout barrel with a 1:7 twist and carbine-length gas system, paired with a fixed front sight base for durability and consistent alignment. The upper is built on a Bravo Company Manufacturing (BCM) thermal fit receiver, matched with a BCM MPI-tested bolt carrier group for dependable cycling under heavy use.
The rifle features a LaRue Tactical 7" quad rail handguard, offering a solid mounting platform while maintaining a compact, maneuverable front end—ideal for hunting in tight brush or from vehicles.
For sighting, this setup uses a Trijicon ACOG TA31 4x32 optic mounted on a LaRue quick detach system, combined with a Knight’s Armament 600m folding rear sight for backup aiming capability. This combination provides fast target acquisition and reliable accuracy in low-light or field conditions.
The lower receiver is an LWRC International ambidextrous forged lower, equipped with a Geissele Automatics Super Tricon two-stage trigger for a crisp and consistent break. Controls are fully optimized with a Geissele ambidextrous safety and a SIG Sauer reduced angle pistol grip for improved ergonomics.
The buffer system includes a Geissele Super 42 braided spring with H2 buffer, paired with a Geissele buffer tube and a Primary Weapons Systems ratcheting castle nut and end plate, ensuring long-term durability and secure retention under recoil.
Finished with a Colt M4 waffle stock and a .30 caliber A2-style flash hider, this rifle is well-suited for suppressed or unsuppressed use and excels in hog hunting scenarios where reliability and stopping power matter most.
