Full custom AR-15 build from the ground up — 20 parts, zero shortcuts. This rifle was put together to eliminate as much felt recoil as possible using a combination of a JP Enterprises low-mass bolt carrier group, JP Silent Captured Spring Gen 2, and a Lantac Dragon muzzle brake with SilencerCo ASR compatibility. The foundation is a Griffin Armament MK2 ambidextrous lower paired with a Radian Model 1 upper and 15.5" handguard. Barrel is a 16" BCM SS410 stainless mid-length in 5.56 NATO with a 1:8 twist. Trigger is a Geissele SSA-E two-stage. Optics setup runs an EOTech EXPS3-4 with a G45 magnifier on a Unity FAST mount. Light is a SureFire M640U Scout Pro at 1000 lumens.

Pros:

• Total cost sits around $4,800 — this is not a budget build by any measure
• Griffin MK2 lower and JP buffer retainer spring are currently out of stock, which can stall a build
• Low-mass BCG setups can be picky about ammo and gas tuning — no adjustable gas block here, so you're relying on the mid-length system and brake to keep things balanced
• The Radian upper/handguard set alone is nearly $960, which is a tough pill when budget uppers exist at a fraction of the price
• Unity FAST mount puts the magnifier at 2.26" height — not everyone loves a heads-up shooting position
• No adjustable gas block means less flexibility if you switch between suppressed and unsuppressed shooting
• The Lantac Dragon is loud — bystanders at the range will know you're there
